作品說明：《海面的雲朵》將梗枋與龜山島間的情感連結化作雕塑形象，從觀看的此地梗枋漁港遙望龜山島之剪影作為參照，納入了太平洋與氣候的環境觀察，從陸地蔓延至海洋，銜接著天空，自台灣本島的視角重新賦予龜山島詩意的想像符號。
那有關龜山島的記憶，在時光更迭下是穩固且浮動的存在，往往於變幻之間反映著當下人們生活的形貌，從不同角度體現了社會集體意識及對於歷史的關照與回溯。如雲朵般的情感記憶，坐落在海面，亦象徵了台灣依海而生的特質。太平洋對我們而言，並非陌生畏懼的海洋，這片與龜山島間的海面，更像是由梗枋居民從本島延伸至龜山島的心靈土地。《海面的雲朵》思考著歷史與記憶、觀光與在地，透過雕塑刻出時空中曾經的形影與軌跡，在此生長出屬於梗枋的感性符號。

Statement: Clouds Over the Sea is a sculptural manifestation of the emotional bond between Gengfang and Guishan Island. Referencing the silhouette of Guishan Island as seen from the Gengfang Fishing Port, the work incorporates observations of the Pacific Ocean and the climate: from the land to the sea, all the way to the sky, this connection imbues Guishan Island with a poetic sense of being.
The memories about Guishan Island are at once perpetual and ephemeral as time unfolds. Encapsulated in the ebb and flow of memory is the way people live, as well as collective consciousness and historical retrospection. Emotions and memories, like clouds, perch on the sea, highlighting Taiwan as an island surrounded by water. The Pacific Ocean is no dreadful stranger to us: this stretch of sea between the main island and Guishan Island embodies a land of spiritual salvation for Gengfang residents. Clouds Over the Sea contemplates history and memory, tourism and local identity, the trajectory of time and space limned by the contours of the sculpture, evoking a sense of belonging that is unmistakably Gengfang.
